Asana School of English is a 100% family run, teacher -founded, holistic language school based in Cahersiveen, South West Kerry on the Iveragh peninsula. We are in the Skellig Coastal region, part of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and home of Unesco World heritage site Skellig Michael, which is where parts of Star Wars, ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘The Last Jedi’ were filmed. Cahersiveen is a member of the Kerry Dark-Sky Reserve which has been designated Ireland’s FIRST International Dark Sky Reserve by the International Dark-Sky Association, one of only 3 GOLD TIER Reserves on the planet. We have a 21st century approach to learning. We are teachers, researchers and pioneers of humanistic and transpersonal learning. We specialise in arts, creativity, nature, place and project based learning. We welcome both juniors and adults to our school. Accommodation is with local, carefully selected, host families in our local town and neighbouring villages. Many of our students choose to stay on farms. We are passionate about music so bring your musical instrument!

Hello, my name is Elora Davito, I’m french and I’m 15 years old. Last year I went on a trip to Ireland with Asana School during 3 weeks. I just had the best holidays of my life. In slept in an irish family, I was with a Russian girl, I got along very well with her and we talk still very often! The family was perfect, I was talking a lot with them, they had three equally nice children. Every morning, the bus passed and take us to school, there I met some very nice and funny people, students and teachers. I learned a lot of things while having fun and it was great. On the afternoon, some activities was planned, like hiking, bike, art, canoe… It’s been very good, and now I have very good memories. Next, we came back to the family, and I cold go out on the evening/night. Every friday, one party was planned. Thank you so much for this travel, there are not enougt words to describe all that this trip has left me. I really regret nothing and if I could do it again I would do it with huge pleasure.
